Lava has launched Lava Z2 Max in India. The smartphone is the successor to Lava Z2 that was launched in India. The pocket-friendly smartphone from Lava is aimed at students involved in online classes during the lockdown. The device is powered by a MediaTek Helio A20 chipset and carries a 6,000mAh battery. It has a dual-camera setup at the rear.

Lava Z2 Max Specifications

Lava Z2 Max is powered by an octa-core MediaTek Helio A20 SoC with a peak clock speed of 1.8GHz, coupled with IMG PowerVR GE8300 GPU. The processor is paired with 2GB of LPDDR4x RAM and 32GB of internal storage, which can be further expanded up to 256GB via a microSD card. The smartphone runs on Android 10 Go Edition with Stock Android UI.

Coming to the display, the device sports a 7-inch HD+ IPS panel with a resolution of 720 x 1,640 pixels and a 20.5:9 aspect ratio. The display has a pixel density of 258ppi and is protected by Gorilla Glass 3. The large screen is intended to offer more content to the students while streaming lecture videos. It has slim bezels on the edges and a thicker bezel at the chin, along with a waterdrop-style notch for the front camera.

As for the imaging, the phone features a dual-camera setup at the rear with a 13MP primary sensor with an f/1.85 lens and a 2MP sensor for depth, as well as an LED flash. At the front, an 8MP sensor with an f/2.0 lens selfie snapper is housed under the notch.

The mobile phone carries a massive 6,000mAh battery with standard charging. Connectivity options like 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS, a 3.5mm headphone jack, and a USB Type-C port for charging are on offer. It weighs 216 grams.

Lava Z2 Max Price

Lava Z2 Max is offered in two color options- Stroked Blue and Stroked Cyan. It starts from Rs. 7,799 for the sole 2GB RAM and 32GB internal storage. The device is already up for grabs and can be purchased via Amazon, Flipkart, and Lava website.

Considering the price range, it will compete with Xiaomi Poco C3, which is powered by MediaTek Helio 35 and features a 6.53-inch IPS panel, a 13MP triple-camera, and a 5,000mAh battery, priced at Rs. 8,999 for the 3GB RAM variant.
