POCO has announced POCO M3 Pro 5G. The smartphone is the upgraded variant of the POCO M3 that was launched six months ago. The latest offering from POCO is powered by a 5G-enabled Dimensity 700 SoC and features a 90Hz fast refresh rate IPS display. It features a new and unique design language.

POCO M3 Pro 5G Specifications

POCO M3 Pro 5G draws power from an octa-core MediaTek Dimensity 700 5G processor, coupled with Mali-G57 MC2 GPU. The CPU is backed by up to 6GB of RAM and 128GB of UFS 2.2 internal storage. The storage on the device can be further expanded via a microSD card. The smartphone runs on Android 11 OS with Xiaomi’s custom MIUI 12 on top.

Coming to the display, the phone features a 6.5-inch Full-HD+ IPS LCD panel with a resolution of 1,080 x 2,400 pixels and a 90Hz fast refresh rate with DynamicSwitch feature, which allows the display to calibrate the refresh rate as per requirement. The display has a peak brightness of 500nits and a contrast ratio of 1500:1. It carries a center-aligned punch-hole for the front camera.

As for the camera, the device comes with a triple-camera setup at the rear with a 48MP primary sensor with an f/1.79 lens and two 2MP sensors with an f/2.4 aperture for depth sensing and macro shots. At the front, an 8MP selfie snapper with an f/2.0 lens is placed under the punch-hole. The phone has a black rectangular strip, with POCO branding, at the rear that covers the entire camera module.

The mobile phone carries a 5,000mAh battery with 18W wired fast charging. It ships with a side-mounted fingerprint scanner and an IR Blaster. Connectivity features like 5G, dual-band 4G, dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS, and USB Type-C port for charging are on offer. It weighs 190 grams.

POCO M3 Pro 5G Price

POCO M3 Pro 5G is offered in three color options- POCO Yellow, Cool Blue, and Power Black. It is priced at EUR 179 (approximately Rs. 16,000) for the 4GB RAM + 64GB storage version and EUR 199 (approximately Rs. 17,750) for the 6GB RAM + 128GB storage variant. The smartphone will be up for grabs in certain European markets from May 20. Indian availability is yet to be revealed by the company.

Considering the price range, it will rival Realme X7, which is powered by MediaTek Dimensity 800U 5G SoC and features a 60Hz Super AMOLED display, a 64MP triple-camera setup, and a 4,310mAh battery with fast charging support, priced at Rs. 17,999.
