Redmi Note 7 Pro

Redmi Note 7 Pro is official now as Xiaomi unveiled the device globally in India today. Xiaomi has been teasing the launch of the Redmi Note 7 Pro since the launch of its counterpart, the Redmi Note 7, and now the company has revealed the device at an event in Delhi, making India the first market to get the smartphone. The Redmi Note 7 Pro is launched alongside the Redmi Note 7, the Indian variant of which has been modified. The Pro variant includes various upgrades over the Note 7 including an upgraded processor, more storage, and improved cameras.

The Redmi Note 7 Pro comes in two variants in terms of RAM and storage: 4GB RAM with 64GB of onboard storage and 6GB of RAM with 128GB of onboard storage. Xiaomi has priced the 4GB RAM at ₹13,999 while the 6GB RAM variant of the device is priced at ₹16,999. The device will be available in Neptune Blue, Nebula Red, and Space Black color options and will be available for purchase starting from March 13.

According to Xiaomi, the Redmi Note 7 Pro will be available through Mi.com, Flipkart, and Mi Home stores, with select offline retailers to follow.

As a part of the launch offer, Airtel will be offering up to 1,120GB with unlimited calling, as well as Airtel Thanks benefits.

In terms of specifications, the Redmi Note 7 Pro features the same “Aura Design” as the Redmi Note 7 as well as the same 6.3-inch Full-HD+ screen with 19.5:9 aspect ratio and waterdrop-style notch. Both the front and the back of the device sports a 2.5D curved Gorilla Glass protection for added durability. The smartphone is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 675 SoC coupled with up to 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. The storage on the device is expandable up to 256GB using a microSD card.

The Redmi Note 7 Pro houses a dual camera setup at the back compromising of a 48-megapixel primary sensor with f/1.79 lens and a 5-megapixel secondary depth sensor. At the front, the device has a 13-megapixel selfie shooter.

The phone runs on Android 9.0 Pie with MIUI 10 skin on top. The company claims that it has added enhanced system optimizations in the Redmi Note 7 Pro, which according to the company, provide 10 percent faster system responsiveness. The device is backed up by a 4000mAh battery with Quick Charge 4.0 support.

Further, the device has a rear fingerprint sensor, USB Type-C port, 3.5mm audio jack, and dual-SIM support (hybrid). Connectivity options on the phone include 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 5, Bluetooth 5.0, and Infrared.
