The Mi Band series has been recognized as the most affordable fitness trackers. The sub-brand of Xiaomi, Readmi is also producing its own Smart Bands. The Redmi Smart Band was announced in the month of April and is now making its way to India at a cheap rate. The most unique thing about this Smart Band is that it has a built-in USB connector which can be directly plugged in to a standard USB-A port. This completely prevents the user from carrying the charging cradle.
The tracker needs 2 hours to get fully charged and depending on the usage, it has a battery backup of 14 days. It has a 24/7 heart-rate tracking along with other activities like walking, cycling and running. It is equipped with a 1.08-inch color touch-enabled display. Users will get notification alerts and an option to control the music being played on his or her phone.
Users would be able to alter the settings through Xiaomi Wear or Wear Lite app which is supported in Android and iOS. The band is water resistant and users would be able to swap the default strap for first party options available in green, orange, black and blue. The price of Redmi Smart Band is Rs.1,599 and will go on sale from 9th September at Amazon India, micom and Mi-branded retail stores.
