Kansspelautoriteit (KSA), the Netherlands’ gaming authority, announced that it will continue to take action against illegal gambling websites.

KSA intends to target websites or affiliates promoting illegal online games of chance and take down illegal providers and advertisers.

The legal online gambling market is slated to be launched in October in Netherlands after the Remote Gambling Act (Koa) was already approved in April.

The KSA has also sanctioned 44 websites so far and also placed fines on few operators. The offering of online games of chance is till forbidden in the country, as per the new legislation. The same will be legalized after October.

As per Gambling Onsider, “operators wishing to take advantage of the new market would still need to apply for a licence, without one operators are still prohibited from offering and advertising games.”
