The Australian Government has relaxed COVID-19 restrictions in the country in light of better COVID conditions.
Because of the relaxed restrictions, the Entertainment Group announced that the casinos owned by it are likely increasing their capacity.
The Entertainment Group owns Star Sydney in New South Wales, as well as The Star Gold Coast and Treasury Brisbane in Queensland which will be increasing their capacities.
The current capacity at which Star Sydney operates is 1,800 guests which would jump to 10,000 from December 7, 2020.
However, 300 guests cap per area and 2 square meters distance between each individual shall remain the norm.
According to Gambling Insider, The Star said: “The easing in operating restrictions across all three properties will enable us to welcome back additional employees, as well as an increased number of our members and guests to safe and entertaining environments.”
