During Nintendo Direct, an online presentation or live shows produced by Nintendothe company came up with a series of announcements. Yesterday we discussed how the company released a video showcasing a new motion control device which seems to a fitness device, for Switch. And now, new reports come in suggesting that Super Nintendo games will be soon arriving on Switch for all Nintendo Switch Online subscribers with the first set of SNES games already making their way on Thursday.

The games included in the first phase are The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the PastSuper Mario WorldSuper Mario KartSuper Metroid, and Kirby’s Dream Land 3 with more to follow-up. However, interestingly Nintendo has posted on its official website that retro titles will no longer be added every month as they have been since the first NES games rolled out.

Since Nintendo has decided to not rollout regular SNES titles on Nintendo Switch Online, it will be interesting to see for how long the already released titles hold fans over. Another interesting thing to notice would be whenever Nintendo does decide to drop more games, does the company sticks to two or three games at a time or Nintendo prefers to be really choosy with the game choices.
