A few weeks ago, Google announced that their unlimited storage policy will change. Google Photos app users will not get free unlimited backups from 1st June, 2021. The company at present offers a total of 15GB storage for Gmail, Drive, Docs and Photos, So, if users exceed the limit, they have to but Google One plan in order to continue use of the Google services. As many people may soon be purchasing cloud storage, Google One has recently received a particular price cut in India for high storage plans.
Google said that for members who need more space, they are cutting the price of their 10TB, 20TB and 30TB plans by 50%. If they are already on qualifying plan, they will start to see savings automatically.
The Google One subscription will be priced at Rs.3,250 per month for the 10TB plan. The normal cost of this plan is Rs.6,500 per month. The price of the 20TB storage plan has been reduced to Rs.6,500 per month and the 30TB plan will be priced at Rs.9,750 per month from Rs.19,500 per month. It must be noted that the provided cloud storage covers Gmail, Google Photos, Drive and workspace editing apps. Along with cloud storage, Google said that users will also get access to Google experts and extra member benefits. Google has not changed prices for the other storage plans.
The normal subscription of Google One will continue to cost Rs.130 per month and Rs.1,300 yearly. For the mentioned price, users will get 100GB storage space. Google has also allowed users to share the storage with their family members and they can invite around five additional family members to their plan. For cloud storage space of 200GB, users have to spend Rs.210 per month or Rs,2100 yearly. There is a 2TB cloud storage plan that has been priced at Rs.650 per month and Rs.6,500 per year.
The company said that Google One app is now available for iOS users. Users can now back up their phone’s contacts, photos, calendars and more by using the app. So, in case if they have an Android as well as iOS device and then all the data will be synced and seen in one place.
