Nationalist Congress Party MP Udayanraje Bhosale has formally joined the Bharatiya Janata Party today. The event saw the presence of Union Home Minister Amit Shah and Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis.

The leader of NCP had submitted the resignation to Lok Sabha speaker Om Birla. Udayanraje Bhosale has said that he is very much impressed with the policies of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.  He has been representing the Satara Lok Sabha seat in Maharashtra.

Bhosale’s cousin Shivendra Singh had also joined the BJP on July 31. Previously on 11 September,  Indian National Congress party leader and former state minister Harshavardhan Patil joined the Bhartiya Janta Party.  He targeted the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) president Sharad Pawar. Sharad Pawar was targeted for being unable to fulfill his commitment of allocating the Indapur seat in the upcoming Assembly elections.

Amit Shah expressed his happiness on NCP leader Udayanraje Bhosale entry to the saffron party. He said that his presence will help BJP in the upcoming assembly elections. In 2019 elections, Udayanraje had won by a margin of around 1,30,000 votes.

Upcoming Maharashtra polls have charged up the political atmosphere. The leader tweeted a message “I received inspiration to carry out social work based on the love and blessings of you all. Hoping the same love and blessings will be there forever with me.”
