The on-going battle over Rafale Deal between the Ruling Bhartiya Janta Party and the opposition parties led by Congress intensified on Tuesday, December 18. The proceedings of the sixth day of the winter session of the parliament adjourned following the ruckus in the house over recent Supreme Court Verdict.

Bhartiya Janta Party MPs demanded Congress National President Rahul Gandhi to apologize and step down from his post over his remarks on Prime Minister Rahul Gandhi and Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Carrying Playcards of ‘Rahul Gandhi Maafi Mange’ (Rahul Gandhi Should Apologize), BJP MPs raised slogans as ‘Gandhi Parivaar Chor Hai’ and ‘Rahul Gandhi mafi Mange’ while in a counterattack MP from Oppositions  roared ‘Modi sarkar chor hai’ (Modi government is a thief) and accused the government of misleading the apex court on CAG report.

The Protest against Rahul Gandhi was subsequently gone not well with his Mother and UPA Chairperson Sonia Gandhi who was Clearly Visible upset with the uproar.

Congress has repeatedly criticized the deal for the 36 Rafale jets, alleging that the government was procuring each aircraft at a cost of over Rs 1,670 crore as against Rs 526 crore finalized by the UPA government.

Ever Since the Supreme Court verdict came on Rafale Deal, both Congress and the ruling Bhartiya Janta Party are launching scathing attacks with the former alleging of Government misleading the Court with CAG Report while the ruling is attacking the Congress of Misleading people about the Deal for electoral gain.

Public Account Committee Chairman Mallikarjun Kharge also raised questions about SC judgment where it is written that ‘CAG report on the deal has been examined by the PAC’. Kharge claimed that PAC has never discussed such CAG report.

Earlier while Talking to Press in Parliament Complex, Congress National President Rahul Gandhi racked up Modi Government and warn that They will not sleep Prime Minister Narendra Modi till the PM waive farm loans, same as they did in Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh hours after forming the government.
