PM Narendra Modi on Tuesday, urged the people of the country to end ‘caste discrimination’ by identifying those who promote it for ‘self -interest’ as he believes that it is an obstacle to social harmony.

After laying the foundation of ‘Ravidas janmasthali’ in Varanasi, his look Sabha constituency.He emphasised that everyone should be ‘benefitted’ by the govt scheme irrespective of caste creed or others.

PM said, citing the sayings of ‘Sant Ravidas’, that till there is caste discrimination, people can’t connect to each other nor ‘social harmony’ would be possible neither ‘equality’ can be ensured.He further said that ‘Guru Sant Ravidas’ said that there should not be any discrimination on caste.

Without mentioning any name, he said that people must ‘identify’ the promoters of caste discrimination for their ‘self interest.’

He expressed his grief that ‘caste’ discrimination is no yet extinguished but ensured that ‘naya Bharat’ will be evident to the change with the help of the ‘youth’

He further said that for the last 4 and half years his government have been trying to take care of all people of the society with ‘Sabka math Sabka Vikas,’ citing Ravidas that he dreamt of a society where all people are taken care of.

Modi emphasised that his government focused on education, income, medicine, irrigation, and public grievances and this are the ‘panchadhrama’ of his government. He further said the he is following the mantra that “honesty leads to happiness.”

His government ensured strict measures on black money and unnamed properties , he said.

Moreover he also said that his government’s performance resulted in the demolition of ‘chalta hain’ mentality.
