Maharashtra Navnirman Seva (MNS) president Raj Thackeray slammed Modi for changing the term ‘Pradham Sevak’ to ‘Prathan Sevak.’

Nanded: In his attack on Modi, Maharashta Navnirman Seva president said that the term he uses as ‘Prathan Sevak,’ is instead the term ‘Pratham Sevak’ coined by Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru.

“You will keep on abusing Nehru and Indira Gandhi, but still you copy them. Past five years you have only lied to the country on everything,” said Thackeray.

Alleging Modi had simply borrowed this term, Raj Thackeray said,”At the Nehru Memorial Museum in Teen Murti Bhavan in New Delhi, there’s a plaque in which the quote of Pandit nehru is embossed…..’is desh ki janta hame pradhan mantri na kahe, pratham sevak kahe… he changed pratham sevak to prathan sevak.”

Responding to his remarks saying the Congress family never visited Bhagat Singh when he was in jail, Thackeray said, ” Now what does he mean by congress family? Was it Gandhiji’s family, Nehru’s family, Patel’s family, Maulana Azad’s family or Sarojini Naidu’s family? If it was Nehru’s family then he had visited Bhagat Singh twice in prison and if it is indira’s family then she was barely 14 at that time. The question of Rajiv, Sanjay, Sonia, Rahul and Priyanka’s family doesn’t arise,” said Thackeray.
