Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Monday promised clean drinking water to every household by the year 2024 while inaugurating the water treatment plant at Chandrawal in the national capital. Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) Boss also pitched for improving Delhi Law management system.

‘Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal lays foundation stone of 47.7 crore litres water capacity water treatment plant at Chandrawal. This is a big step to make Delhi self-sufficient in water, congratulations to all Delhiites’, tweeted Delhi Minister Dinesh Mohaniya.

Kejriwal further said that his government in the national capital is committed to providing free clean drinking water to the people. He said, ‘We will try to provide clean drinking water to every household by 2024’.

Further hailing his government, he said the Delhi Jal Board for the past 5 years has improved a lot. For years, because of corruption, it was mismanaged, but our government has improved the condition in the last four year and a half.

Earlier only 58% of the total household used to get clean drinking water. However, in the last four years, it has increased to 88%.

Further talking about the developmental works, Chief Minister said that his government has installed CCTVs across the national capital. Now, the crimes will go down as it can be tackled immediately and action can be taken instantly.

Kejriwal added that his government is trying to control the crimes and improve Delhi’s law management system but it can be done only with the cooperation from the centre.

Earlier on Sunday, Kejriwal slammed Delhi Police over the growing crime incidents in the national capital. ‘Delhi is witnessing a dangerous spurt in serious crimes. An elderly couple and their domestic help murdered in Vasant Vihar. Nine murders reported in the last 24 hours across the city. Whose door should be knocked for safety & security of Delhiites?’, Chief Minister said in a tweet.

Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Friday met Prime Minister Narendra Modi in Parliament and discussed various issues. In his meeting with Prime Minister, Delhi Chief Minister requested the Centre’s cooperation and sought to work together for the development of the national Capital.
