The Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) on Friday suspended former Lawmaker Guddu Pandit and his brother Mukesh Sharma from the primary membership of the party. Both – Pandit and Sharma – have been expelled from the party for allegedly misbehaving with the party workers during the last month concluded national polls.

BSP further stated that both the former legislators were involved in the anti-party activities. The move to sack them comes after both the former lawmakers were given warning several times.

In the recently last month concluded national polls, BSP pitted Guddu Pandit alias Shreebhagwan Sharma from Fatehpur Sikri Lok Sabha Seat of Uttar Pradesh against Congress State Chief Raj Babbar. BJP nominee on Fatehpur Sikri Rajkumar Chahar won the polls.

Guddu Pandit alias Shree Bhagwan Sharma is a former Legislator from Debai Assembly seat while his brother Mukesh Sharma is a former MLA from Shikarpur Assembly seat of Uttar Pradesh.

Earlier on Sunday, Mayawati made many organization reshuffling with appointing her brother Anand Kumar as the party’s national vice president and while her nephew Akash Anand has been picked for the post of national coordinator.

In the last month held national polls, BSP-SP forged an alliance to take on BJP. However, the poll tie-up Alliance faced a crushing defeat in the state with BJP bagged 62 seats and with its ally Apna Dal (Sonelal) it took its tally to 64 seats out of the 80 Lok Sabha Seat. While Mahagathbandhan bagged 15 seats – BSP 10 and SP 5 – while Congress only managed to retain its bastion Rae Bareli.

Following which BSP snapped ties with Samajwadi Party on June 4 saying that her party will contest the by-polls on its own in Uttar Pradesh. In later announced to contest all polls on its own.
