Speaking to media on INX media case, Union Minister Kiren Rijiju presented the case of his government. He denied the opposition party’s allegations of “BJP (Bhartiya Janta Party) resorting to political vendetta”.

Enforcement Directorate has summoned former Union Finance Minister P Chidambaram in relation to alleged INX Media case. On the issued orders, Congress party furiously attacked the Modi government for seeking revenge against its leaders.

Kiren Rijiju completely denied the involvement of Bhartiya Janta Party in the alleged matter. He told media that actions have been taken against only the accused people on solid evidence. He questioned the role of party politics in the case. He also urged P Chidambaram to co-operate on the matter. Another BJP leader Satya Pal Singh has also slammed the Congress party for their allegations against the BJP government.

On Tuesday, Delhi High court had rejected the anticipatory bail pleas of former Union Finance Minister in INX Media scandal. Justice Sunil Gaur was hearing the case and he dismissed both the petitions (in CBI and ED case). After this, CBI (Central Bureau of Investigation) had put up a 2-hour notice outside his residence. But when the agencies reached the place to question him, the minister was found nowhere.

Today, Congress leader had filed a Special Leave Petition in Supreme Court seeking the relief against the Delhi High Court order. However, he failed to get the required relief.

The bench headed by Justice NV Ramana has further referred the matter to Chief Justice of India Ranjan Gogoi.
