Lalu Prasad Yadav Nitish Kumar

Lalu Prasad Yadav, RJD chief and former Bihar chief minister has said that he’d meet Nitish Kumar in order to convince him not to support Ram Nath Kovind in the upcoming presidential election. According to a PTI report, Lalu Yadav had said this yesterday after taking part in the meeting of opposition parties to discuss the candidate and strategy for the president polls.

Talking to the reporters, Lalu Yadav said that Nitish Kumar’s decision of supporting BJP’s candidate has shocked various political leaders. To have a strong opposition and to prove a point against BJP, it is necessary to remain united for the upcoming challenges. He also added that Nitish Kumar and JD(U)’s decision of supporting BJP candidate will have no impact on the coalition government in Bihar. FYI, Bihar currently has a government formed with coalition of Lalu Yadav’s RJD and Nitish Kumar’s JD(U).

Nitish Kumar was one of the leaders who had voiced for the opposition to come on a platform to counter BJP in the president polls. His move of supporting BJP candidate has surely come as a shocker to various political leaders and parties.
