As the Monsoon Session of the Parliament is all set to begin tomorrow, Prime Minister Narendra Modi invited all the party leaders for a meet on Tuesday.

The PM expressed his concerns regarding the smooth functioning of both the Houses of the Parliament and suggested the parties to address the issues they deem necessary in the Houses.

As reported in the official reports, all the party leaders have agreed to hold constructive discussions and ensure that both the Houses function properly. The meeting went amicably and the same is expected from the Monsoon Session.

The opposition leaders raised their concerns regarding various issues. Some issues raised were the reservation of appointments of SCs/STs in higher education. Another concern was raised by the AAP leader who accused the Centre of treating the National Capital unjustly. “The Delhi government is not being allowed to function and attempts are being made that LG should run the national capital. Injustice is being done to the national capital,” said Sanjay Singh.

PM has assured that the Monsoon session will be productive with the aim to achieve “national good.”
