Bhartiya Janata Party (BJP) leader and Rajya Sabha MP from Madhya Pradesh Dharmendra Pradhan on Sunday attacked the Congress and accused them of spreading lies. He said that Congress is spreading lies because the party is scared of their defeat in the upcoming polls.

His comments came after a day when some media houses published an allegedly audio clip between BJP’s Madhya Pradesh state president Rakesh Singh, and a candidate Mukesh Tandon in which Tandon allegedly that he has to make heavy expenses in order to attract crowds for PM Narendra Modi rallies, as people don’t want to listen to him anymore in the Poll-bound Madhya Pradesh .

Pradhan said that the allegedly CD or the audio clip is fake, said Cyber cell is making an inquiry in this regard and an official complaint from the party has been filed with the Chief Electoral Officer (CEO).

He further allegedly said that the Popular English daily ‘National Herald’ printed the verbatim conversation on Saturday and audio clip was published on their website. It is clear that the Congress party and National Herald released this fake CD. The Election Commission has started looking into the matter,” Pradhan added.

This is not the first time in State Assembly Polls that the BJP has filed a complaint against INC. Last week, BJP delegation met Election Commission officials and made a complaint against the Congress State Chief Kamal Nath, accusing him of asking votes on ‘religious grounds’.

The 230-member Madhya Pradesh Assembly will go to the polls on November 28 and the results will be announced on December 11.
