After registering a massive victory in the recently concluded national polls, Prime Minister  Narendra Modi on Sunday visited his mother in Gandhinagar to seek blessings of her before taking oath as a Prime Minister for the second term.

‘Spent time with my Mother and sought her blessings’, tweeted PM Narendra Modi while sharing a picture of him with his mother.

Thousands of supporters lined up in the streets to catch a glimpse of their favorite leader as Narendra Modi reached his mother. Supporters were raising slogans for PM Modi and were seen holding placards of Narendra Modi.

‘Will be going to Gujarat tomorrow evening, to seek blessings of my Mother’, tweeted PM Modi on Saturday while announcing his Gujarat visit.

Earlier in the day, Prime Minister Narendra Modi also visited the local BJP Ahmedabad Office. ‘Located in Khanpur in Ahmedabad, the BJP headquarters has witnessed many landmark events. It was from here that BJP grew rapidly across Gujarat and won people’s trust. My visit to the headquarters brought back many memories and gave an opportunity to interact with Karyakartas’, he said in a tweet.

He had last month visited his mother before filing nomination for the Varanasi Lok Sabha Seat.

PM Modi is slated to visit Varanasi – his Lok Sabha Seat – where he will hold a 5 Kilometre Roadshow to celebrate his and party’s massive victory in the recently held national polls. After roadshow and darshan in Kashi Vishwanath Temple, PM Narendra Modi will address party workers at Deendayal Hastkala Sankul.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi won the Varanasi Lok Sabha seat with a huge margin of 4.70 lakh votes by defeating Shalini Yadav of Samajwadi party.

The Bharatiya Janata Party in the recently concluded national polls has secured 303 seats, 22 more than it got in 2014. While BJP along with its allies, the NDA secured 352 seats.

The Congress won 52 seats in the recently held polls, which is only 8 more than it got in 2014 national polls. It has also lost some of its strongholds across the country including Rahul Gandhi’s Amethi in Uttar Pradesh and Jyotiraditya Scindia‘s Guna in Madhya Pradesh.
