While reviewing the action plan prepared by the Uttar Pradesh government, Niti Aayog vice-chairman Rajiv Kumar, lauded Chief Minister, Yogi Adityanath for the all round development in the state. He complimented that UP chal pada hai (UP has started to progress).

He praised the progress made by Uttar Pradesh in the fields of education, nutrition and health. AT the same time the agency also advised the Chief Minister to pace up the state’s ranking in ease of doing business. Up was ranked on the 10th position during 2015, but it rose to the 14th in the rankings released last year.

Responding to the advice given by the NITI Aayog team, UP health minister Siddharth Nath Singh, who was part of the review, in his statement to the press stated, “We assured the Niti Aayog that in the next rankings UP will show progress. After coming to power, the state government has made 371 changes which will reflect in the next rankings of ease of doing business.”

In this context last month Yogi Adityanath had also said in an interview that his government is making a concerted effort to bring Uttar Pradesh forward in the trade area. He had also added that his government is taking initiatives for the youths so that they do not have to flee to other states, in search of employment.

The Yogi government is constantly trying to increase investment in the state and the recent trip of Yogi Adityanath, to Mauritius was also for the same motive. He asked the Indian and other people living there to invest in Uttar Pradesh.

The state is also taking initiatives in the field of health facilities, especially after the tragic incident of Gorakhpur in September, where more than 68 children lost their lives. Talking about the plans to develop the health sector in UP, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said that “In the coming years, the development of health will be seen in Uttar Pradesh and many test centers will be opened where free medical checkup will be done. In addition, he had talked about opening a special hospital in which the investigation related to the treatment and prevention of deadly diseases would be done.
