District Magistrate of Ghazipur, Sanjay Kumar Khatri‘s transfer has been demanded by UP’s Cabinet Minister and Backward Welfare Minister, Om Prakash Rajbhar. He has announced to sit on ‘dharna’ if DM was not immediately transferred. He has given an ultimatum to him till Monday evening else he will sit in a protest. He has told Indo-Asian News Service that there are 19 matters and issues raised by the people against DM but none of them has been resolved yet. He thinks that it is his duty to answer people and to their problems as he has won four seats in state elections.
He told media that he met Yogi Adityanath and discussed this matter with him, but no action was taken. He was then asked to wait for a meeting with Chief Minister Sunil Bansal, but unfortunately, nothing happened as he is in Delhi. He has given a warning that if DM is not removed from his post, he will renounce all the government facilities.
According to sources, Om Prakash Rajbhar will travel via train to Ghazipur on Tuesday and will sit on a ‘dharna’ in Surju Pandey Park.
