Congress President Rahul Gandhi on Saturday slammed BJP for Politicizing the Army for its Benefit. INC Chief while addressing a rally in Mewar today said, the Army had done three surgical strikes under Manmohan Singh led UP government but no one knew about it because the Army felt it was beneficial of nobody knew about it.

He accused the Prime Minister Narendra Modi of turning the ‘surgical strike’ into Political Asset.

Congress National president Rahul Gandhi will be in Rajasthan on Saturday for a campaign in a run-up to the state assembly elections slated for December 7.

Congress state spokesperson Satyendra Singh Raghav said the Congress chief will address youths in Udaipur and then address public meetings in Bhilwara, Chittorgarh, and Hanumangarh. He said that Congress national general secretary Ashok Gehlot and party’s Rajasthan chief Sachin Pilot would be present with the party chief.

As per the schedule, Gandhi will address a poll meeting in Udaipur at 9 am then in Bhilwara at 11 am followed by meetings in Chittorgarh and Hanumangarh.

Leaving stone unturned and eyeing a comeback in the state, Congress has also shifted its ‘war room’ from Delhi to Jaipur. The Party has put all its planning and strategies on top gear and deployed senior leaders to lead the party on the management front.

Top Congress leaders including Congress general secretary Avinash Pande, Mukul Wasnik and leader of Opposition in Rajya Sabha, Ghulam Nabi Azad, are in Jaipur and working on damage control that ‘rebels’ have caused and managing the last round of the campaign.

Opinion Polls have suggested an upper hand of Congress in the state, the party is making every efforts to take the advantage of anti-incumbency against the Vasundhara Raje led BJP Government in the state.

The 200 assembly state will go to poll on December 7 in a single phase of voting. The Results will be announced on December 11 with other four state assembly elections.
