TDP leader and MP Y Sujana Kumar approached Telangana High court mentioning the summons that he received was inappropriate as he had no direct connection with the firm named in the summons.

TDP leader and former union minister, Y Sujana Kumar approached Telangana High Court saying the summons which he received from CBI was inappropriate. The agency had asked him to appear before its Bengaluru office on may 4 as part of the proceedings in the case of electrical equipment manufacturer, ‘Best and Crompton Engineering products Ltd.’ The case registered involved cheating in the hands of ‘Best and Crompton Engineering’ with Andhra Bank of Rs.71 crore in 2017. Sujana Kumar further said that the summons was inappropriate also as he was a resident of Hyderabad which doesn’t fall under CBI Bengaluru’s jurisdictions. He also states that he has no direction with the firm mentioned in the summons.

“The summons which I received from CBI is in respect of Best and Crompton Engineering Projects Limited. I confirm that I am not having any connection, knowledge or acquaintance with the Company referred by them or its affairs at any point of time. I will be taking appropriate steps in this matter,” said Sujana Kumar.
