Alleging the irregularities in the voter’s lits verification by the YS Jagan Mohan Reddy government, a delegation of Telugu Desam Party met the chief electoral officer on Tuesday at the state secretariat in Amravati.

The TDP delegation was led by led by former minister K Atchennaidu, Ramachandra Rao and D Jagadeeswar Raohere. The delegation demanded voter verification be done by the booth level officers. Recently, the YS Jagan Mohan Reddy government had recruited the village level volunteers and the TDP delegation had accused the government of recruiting its party cadres.

Since Andhra Pradesh is carrying on the revision in its voter’s list, therefore the TDP delegation had accused the village level volunteers of YS Jagan Mohan Reddy government of deliberately removing the pro-TDP individual’s names. It claimed that the TDP supporters are even being threatened by the village volunteers for omitting their names from the list of government welfare schemes.

K Atchennaidu further accused the ruling government of duping state citizens in the name of the newly launched YSR Rythu Bharosa-PM KISAN schemeAs quoted by ANI, he said, “The government is cheating farmers in the name of the Rythu Bharosa scheme. The YSRCP had promised Rs 10,000 as input subsidy to farmers during the election campaign but now they are giving only Rs. 6,500 in three installments, the rest of the amount will come from central government funds.

According to Chief Minister Jagan Mohan Reddy, the state will provide farmers with the input subsidy of Rs 13,500 under the scheme. The Union government will contribute Rs. 6000 under PM KISAN Yojana. It is expected that around 54 lakh farmers will be benefitted from the scheme.
