Several Union ministers from Modi 2.0 cabinet on Wednesday met Vice President M Venkaiah Naidu and informed him about the tasks and activities undertaken by their respective ministries. Ministers including Hardeep Singh Puri, Thawar Chand Gehlot, among others met Vice President Venkaiah Naidu.
Minister of State (Independent Charge) for Housing and Urban Affairs Hardeep Singh Puri met Naidu and apprised him about the smart cities and housing tasks have been taken off very well.
While Union Minister of Social Justice and Empowerment Thaawar Chand Gehlot also met Vice President. Naidu underlines the importance of strengthening of various schemes for the rehabilitation and empowerment of persons with disabilities.
While Union Minister of Railways and Commerce and Industry Piyush Goyal also met Vice President Venkaiah Naidu. Naidu underscored about the speeding up of the progress of several ongoing development projects.

Piyush Goyal informed him about the status of the various in Andhra Pradesh. He informed him about the South Coast Railway Zone (Vizag Zone), and about the new railway line between Venkatachalam – Vellikallu and Obulavaripalle – Cherlopalli (part of Krishnapatnam – Obulavaraipalle rail line project).
While also apprised him about the redevelopment of Nellore railway station, and the steps being taken for passenger amenities at all the railway stations between Krishnapatnam and Obulavanipalle stations.
While the Union Minister for Textile and the Union Minister for Women and Child Development Smriti Irani called Vice President Venkaiah Naidu in his official residence.
