Twitter

Twitter is a useful platform when you want to connect to people or want to express your thoughts. But the social media platform can be really annoying when there are so many responses on a tweet. Relating one tweet to another can bring a hard time as the interface is so confusing. Keeping that in mind twitter is testing a new thread interface that looks more convenient.

Reverse app engineer Jane Manchun Wong found the new feature for the Twitter web. She tweeted “Twitter continues working on Conversation Tree now with the ability to focus a specific tweet, even from a permalink” along with a screen recording.

This new feature has been tested before, on the prototype app “Twttr”. The app was developed for iOS and has been testing new ways to display conversations, including through the use of threaded replies and other visual cues. This feature shows conversation in the form of a message board. The tweet thread is the same as the thread interface of Reddit.

Twitter spokespersons have confirmed the new feature to TechCrunch “Twitter confirmed what she found is part of the company’s broader plan to bring Twttr’s features to Twitter — a rollout that will take place next year, a spokesperson said. However, not all the features discovered by Wong will be a part of the launch — just the “best parts” of Twttr.”
