Google has added some cool features and faster loading Chrome tabs.

Google says it has made the Chrome tabs 10 percent faster than usual.

“If you use Chrome in your laptop’s tablet mode, you’ll soon have an easier time flipping through your tabs, finding the page you’re looking for, and browsing the web,” Google said in a statement on Tuesday.

This feature has been added to Chromebooks and your PC Chrome version. There is also another cool new addition on Android and iOS where if you type a site you want to visit in the address bar and if the site is already opened in one of your tabs, it will switch to that tab.

You can already do this on the laptop version of Chrome. In this feature users can add their open tabs to a group that they can then name and label, to keep their various projects, tasks, applications, and other online research organized.

The tab groups will soon be available in the stable version. Tab Groups is a functionality where you

Google has also added a thumbnail feature which is in beta testing for now. Users could see a thumbnail of a particular site when they hover over the tab of that site.

Some more…

Google said it is also improving Chrome’s PDF functionality. You will be able to fill and save PDF forms directly from Chrome. You’ll even be able to reopen these files again and pick up where you left off.

The new QR code scanner function is also in the talks. You could print a page or generate a QR code of that page to scan or download. This is available for both Android and PC. It will be accessible from a new QR code icon in the Chrome address bar.

Google is making another addition in beta testing. Known as Tab Throttling. This feature gives more resources to the tabs you’re currently using by taking the resources back from tabs that have been in the background for a long time. This would give improvements in memory and battery.

Chrome has always been blamed for being slow and eating up a lot of RAM. it is only a 10 percent raise at the moment but that is also good. Google will keep on trying to make things more efficient as they don’t want more memes on their Chrome. The updates will roll out and only with time,

we will know whether these updates really made Chrome faster and better or not.
