India at the second stage of the Archery World Cup at the Konyaalti Beach Park in Antalyan ,Kazakhsta on Saturday, finished their journey with a bronze medal in the compound mixed category by Divya Dhayal along with Abhishek Verma. The pair defeated the Italian pair of Marcella Tonioli and Sergio Pagni 154-153. It was the second World Cup for 15 year old Divya Dhayal.
Despite of being so young, Divya did not show any sign of nervousness as India got the lead by one point after two ends. In the third end, Italian duo outscored the Indians by one point but at the final end Indian pair won b y one point.
In the morning session, the Indian women’s compound team lost the Italian trio in the race of the bronze medal as the the men’s compound team of Abhishek Verma, Chinna Raju Srither and Gurwinder Singh also finished fourth after losing to France by 227-228.
