The Ashes series is going on in the second test match Australia has led.

The Ashes series is played between Australia and England and is currently going on in England.

With an outstanding knock by Pat Cummins in the end, Australia won the match.

By winning the first test match, Australia took a 1-0 lead in the five-match series.

The second test was going to be played at the home ground of the Lord’s cricket team.

Match Details

The second test was all set to be played from June 28th to July 2nd.

The English team won the toss and elected to bowl first.

Australia Innings

The Aussies were all set to set up a good total and were confident that as were leading the series.

David Warner and Usman Khawaja opened the inning for the Australian team.

They were both getting along well, as when Tongue took the wicket of Usman.

Marnus came in to bat as he and David started to form a good partnership.

Going on, David completed his half-century as Tongue took his wicket as well.

Steven Smith came in to bat as Smith and Travis formed a very important partnership.

They both kept going and also completed their half-centuries.

Their partnership handled the situation well, as by the day’s end, Australia had a score of 339/5.

The next day, Smith completed his century as Australia lost all their wickets for 416 runs.

England Innings

Zak Crawley and Ben Duckett opened the inning for the English team.

They both started to get along well and from the start, they formed an outstanding partnership.

Nathan Lyon didn’t let the partnership be big enough as he took the wicket of Zak.

Ben played an outstanding knock of 98 runs, which made a big contribution to the Innings.

The Australian bowlers were taking quick wickets as well and not letting them chase the total.

Harry Brook in the middle order played an innings of 50 runs as he also lost his wicket.

England lost all their wickets for a score of 325 as Australia got a lead of 91 runs.
