England, after losing two continuous tests, won the third one and now leads the fourth test match.

The England team is marking a great comeback in the five-match series as they are close to winning the second match.

If they win the second test match, they will equalize the series at 2-2.

Then the decision will be left to the fifth and final test; whoever wins the test will win the series.

Match Details

The fourth test match was going to be played in Manchester from July 19–23.

England won the toss and elected to take the field first.

Australia’s first Innings

David Warner and Usman Khawaja opened the inning for the Aussies.

Stuart Broad didn’t let the openers settle down as he took the wicket of Usman.

Chris Woakes didn’t stay behind, as he took the wicket of David.

The English bowlers were dominating the game as the middle of the Australian team handled the situation.

The short knocks by Marnus, Smith, Travis, and Mitchell took them to a total of 317 runs.

England Innings

Zak Crawley and Ben Duckett opened the inning for England.

Mitchell Starc gave England a quick breakthrough in the form of Ben.

Zak handled the innings from one end, as batsmen from the other end were also scoring runs.

Zak completed his half-century as Moeen, after playing a knock of 54 runs, got out.

After that, Joe Root played an outstanding knock of 84 runs as Zak completed his century.

Almost every batsman who was coming to bat was at least hitting a half-century against the Aussie bowlers.

Zak knocked off 189 runs to put England in a very strong position.

The knock of 99 runs by Jonny, in the end, took England to a total of 592 runs.

Australia Second Innings

England were leading the match by 275 runs.

David Warner and Usman Khawaja opened the inning for the Aussies.

The English team, from the start, started to give quick breakthroughs to the Australian team.

Marnus Labuschagne handled the situation by standing strong in the middle.

The knock of 111 runs took Australia to a score of 214/5 by the end of day 4.

Australia is still behind by 61 runs, and the last day of the match is left.
