KIERAN GOVERS WON THE GOLDEN GOAL IN 2012 CHAMPIONS TROPHY

BANGALORE: India who will start their training soon for the Upcoming tournament, Olympic Qualifiers 2020 has some good news for them. Australian Forward, Kieran Govers has joined the National Authority Of India on Monday. He is here earlier for the 8 days special camp for the strikers. The camp is going to held in Bangalore

In an Interview, Kieran said, “I am truly excited to return to India. I have some really fond memories of playing in this hockey-crazy country,”

Kieran also added that he is following Indian team progress from a couple of months and is quite confident that India will do wonders with the Immense talent that they have in their team. ” I will be working with the forwards to see how we can improve their efficiency inside the circle and when the opponents’ marking is tight how can we convert.”

Moreover, Kieran will be focusing on the Indian Strikers conversion rate. “We will also be doing some video analysis from the recent Sultan Azlan Shah Cup to dissect where the strikers could have done better. The whole idea is to help improve the conversion rate,”

The main focus of Kieran will be on a few Indian players who are struggling from the past few months. In this category there are many names like Akashdeep Singh, Ramandeep Singh, S.V. Sunil, Lalit Kumar Upadhyay, Simranjeet Singh, Gurjant Singh, Mandeep Singh, Sumit Kumar, Shamsher Singh, Armaan Qureshi, Abharan Sudev Belimagga, Mohd Raheel Mouseen, Harsahib Singh, Dilpreet Singh, Gursahibjit Singh, Shilanand Lakra and Atif Ateeq.

Indian ace Striker Sunil Also feels that his inclusion in the Training Camp is going to be a huge asset for the Indian team. “His experience will immensely help our forwards. He was one of the best strikers for Australia and he is extremely good in pressing, goal scoring and positioning inside the circle.” Sunil added
