India’s outstanding performance makes them win the series 4-1.

The England tour of India included five test matches, out of which India won three and England won one.

It was also the 100th match for Ravichandran Ashwin as he joined the Elite List.

Match Details

The fifth match was played in Dharamshala from March 7th to 9th.

England won the toss and elected to bat first.

England First Innings

Zak Crawley and Ben Duckett opened the innings for the England team.

They both started the innings with good shorts and started to form a good opening partnership.

Kuldeep Yadav didn’t let them build a big partnership as he took the wicket of Ben.

Soon after, Kuldeep also took the wicket of Ollie as Joe came into bat.

Zak completed his half-century as no other batsmen were able to stand with him.

Kuldeep, striking once again, bowled Zak, and after that, Indian bowlers started to take wickets at frequent intervals.

The spinners bowled the England team at a score of 218.

Kuldeep Yadav took a haul of five wickets, Ravichandran Ashwin took four wickets, and Ravindra Jadeja took one wicket.

India Innings

Yashasvi Jaiswal and Rohit Sharma opened the innings for the Indian team.

They both started great and were hitting shots across the ground.

Yashasvi soon completed his half-century but soon lost his wicket.

Rohit and Shubman took forward the innings as Rohit completed his half-century.

Soon Shubman also completed his half-century, and later both of them completed their centuries.

The Indian team was in a good position, as later Devdutt Padikkal and Sarfaraz Khan handled the situation.

They both completed their half-centuries with the knocks of the top five batsmen.

The Indian team made a total of 477 runs as they took the lead with 259 runs.

England Second Innings

Zak and Ben opened the innings as Ravichandran Ashwin took the wicket for both of them.

Ashwin started to take wickets from the start only, as he was taking frequent wickets.

Joe Root, in between, tried to handle the situation as he played a good knock of 84 runs.

No other batsmen were able to stand as Indian bowlers took all the wickets for a score of 195 runs.

Ravichandran Ashwin took a haul of five wickets as he took a haul of nine wickets in his 100th test match.

The Indian team won the match by an innings and 64 runs.
