After the successful conclusion of the 13th edition of Dream11 IPL 2020 on Tuesday in the UAE, the BCCI is planning to hold the next year’s IPL 2021 to be held in India with a mega auction in our hands.

The mega auction could be held earlier next year as the BCCI has already informed the franchise to start preparing for it.

According to a franchise official who spoke to the New Indian Express has stated that the BCCI has asked them to stay prepared as the mega auction could take place in a couple of months. However, it is to official but they look to move forward as planned.

Another huge surprise lies in the hands of the BCCI as they look to add a new franchise in the upcoming season of the IPL. It has been reported that the 9th Franchise will be from ahemadabad and the Sardar Patel Stadium (Motera) will be their home ground to welcome the other teams.

The forthcoming mega auctions has no clarity as so far because normally in auctions the franchises are allowed to retain 3 players and can use RTM card on 2 players. Nothing clear yet so far on the mega auction news.

According to a franchise official the retention policy should go on even if there is another franchise joining the IPL. The brand value could go down if there star players are doomed and are being sent in the auction.

However the mighty men in blue Mumbai Indians have dominated the entire season of IPL as they clinch their 5th title by beating the Delhi Capitals by 5 wickets.
