Sri Lanka (SL) and the Netherlands (NED) made it to the World Cup.

The qualifiers for the remaining two spots in the World Cup were going on in Zimbabwe.

In total, ten teams participated in the tournament to qualify for the World Cup.

After the group stage, three teams from both groups were selected to go down to the next stage.

The next stage was the stage of the super six: Sri Lanka, Scotland, the West Indies, the Netherlands, Zimbabwe, and Oman made it to them.

Sri Lanka Journey

Sri Lanka was placed in the second group with Scotland, Oman, Ireland, and the UAE.

They started their journey with a big win against the UAE by 175 runs.

After the big win against the UAE, they beat Oman with a margin of 10 wickets and 210 balls remaining.

SL was performing outstandingly in the group stage, as in the next match they beat Ireland by 133 runs.

In the last match of the group stage, they won against Scotland by 82 runs and made it to the super six.

In the Super Six, they played the first match against the Netherlands, which they won by 21 runs.

After beating the Netherlands, the next match was against Zimbabwe, which SL won by nine wickets.

And finally, the last match was against the almighty West Indies, in which SL won by eight wickets and entered the finals.

Netherlands Journey

The Netherlands played their first match against ZIM, which ZIM won by six wickets.

NED played the next match against the USA and Nepal and won both matches.

The match between the Netherlands and West Indies ended in a tie as NED won in the super over.

The Netherlands ended their group journey in second place.

In the Super Six, their first match was against Sri Lanka, which SL won by 21 runs.

The next match was against Oman, which they won by 74 runs using the DLS method as the match was interrupted by rain.

They won the next match by four wickets against Scotland to enter the final against Sri Lanka.

By marking a place in the finals of the qualifiers, Sri Lanka and the Netherlands already made their way into the World Cup.
