Sri Lanka wins the trophy in the ICC World Cup qualifiers.

The ICC Qualifiers were being played in Zimbabwe as the finalists’ teams headed into the World Cup.

In total, ten teams participated in the tournament and were divided into two groups of five.

After the group stage, six teams headed their way into the super six.

The teams that made their way into the top six were Sri Lanka, the West Indies, Zimbabwe, Oman, the Netherlands, and Scotland.

The super six played against each other as Sri Lanka and the Netherlands came to the finals.

Match Details

The final of the ICC World Cup qualifiers was going to be played in Harare on July 9.

The Netherlands won the toss and elected to bowl first.

Sri Lanka Innings

Pathum Nissanka and Sadeera Samarawickrama opened the inning for them.

They both started to play great shots from the start.

They were looking in great form when Vikramjit Singh broke their partnership.

He took the wicket of Sadeera and gave SL their first breakthrough.

In his next over, he took the wicket of the other opener, Pathum.

Kusal Mendis and Sahan Arachchige handled the situation for SL.

They both formed an important partnership of 72 runs until Kusal lost his wicket.

Sahan played a knock of 57 runs when he also lost his wicket.

SL lost all their wickets for 233 as Logan Van Beek, Ryan Klein, Vikramjit Singh, and Saqib Zulfikar took two wickets each.

Netherlands Innings

Vikramjit Singh and Max O’Dowd opened the inning for them.

Dilshan Madushanka didn’t let them settle down as he took the wicket of Vikramjit.

Max played a short knock of 33 runs, as he also lost his wicket to Maheesh Theekshana.

The SL bowlers were giving frequent breakthroughs to the NED batsmen.

None of the batsmen were able to stand in front of the bowling of SL.

They took all the wickets of NED for just 105 runs.

SL won the final by 128 runs as Dilshan Madushanka was named the Player of the Match.
