Indian team led in the first test match and the first innings against England.

The England team is on the tour of India, which includes five test matches.

First test started on January 25th–January 29th in Hyderabad.

The second match will start on February 2nd in Visakhapatnam, followed by the third in Rajkot on February 15th.

The fourth test will be played on the home ground of MS Dhoni Ranchi on February 23rd.

And the last and final test will be played in Dharamshala on March 7th.

Match Details

The first test match started on January 25th, as Ben Stokes, the captain of England, won the toss and elected to bat first.

England Innings

Zak Crawley and Ben Duckett opened the innings for England.

They both started great, as they were going well and heading towards a good partnership.

Ravichandran Ashwin didn’t let them convert the partnership into long as he took the wicket of Ben.

Ravindra Jadeja also started to take wickets as he took the wicket of Ollie.

In the next over, Ashwin took the wicket of Zak as England got three quick breakthroughs.

Joe Root and Jonny again started to form a partnership as they were doing well.

Axar Patel bowled Jonny as he gave them another breakthrough.

Ben Stokes, in between, started to play important innings as he soon completed his half-century.

With his knock of 70 runs, England made a total of 246 runs.

Ravindra Jadeja and Ravichandran Ashwin took three wickets each, while Jasprit Bumrah and Axar Patel took two wickets each.

India Innings

Yashasvi Jaiswal and Rohit Sharma opened the innings for India.

They both started great, as they were going well when Jack Leach took the wicket of Rohit.

Yashasvi soon completed his half-century as he was doing well.

His outstanding knock of 80 runs brought India into a good situation.

India lost some wickets as KL Rahul and Ravindra Jadeja started to form a good partnership.

They both played knocks of 86 and 81 runs, which gave India the lead against England.

Srikar Bharat, in between, played a good knock of 41 runs.

As of the end of Day 2, India leads by 175 runs and is at a total of 421/7.
