SHL, a US-based talent evaluation firm, is reportedly, eyeing to take over Aspiring Minds, an HR-tech platform that conducts job-selection process for an undisclosed amount, cited Inc42.

According to the sources, the agreement would take place next month. The acquisition deal is expected to be financed between $80-$100 million (approx INR 567-709 crore), reported Inc42.

While, SHL said that it would infuse Aspiring Minds’ artificial intelligence technology with SHL’s portfolio and leverage the science to enable the technical, emerging and leadership talent required for more than 10,000 customers.

Aspiring Minds was founded and started by Himanshu Aggarwal and Varun Aggarwal in 2018. The platform Aspiring Minds is an employability evaluation and certification company that supports institutions and companies to hire the right candidate.

The space enables candidates to give AMCAT test to find the right jobs. AMCAT is said to serve over two million candidates every year.

As per its LinkedIn page, Aspiring Minds relies on its state-of-the-art, adaptive assessment technology and machine learning algorithms to allow adaptive, standardised and reliable measurement of generic employability skills, i.e. language, cognitive, behavior, among other functional skills.

At present, Aspiring Minds claims to serve more than 3000 clients across the US, China, Philippines, Middle East and southeast Asia, among others.

Besides Aspiring Minds, other companies working in the same domain includes Talview, Skillenza, Leena AI, and Bash, among others.
