Huawei India has launched 3 new smartwatch cum fitness bands in India. The Huawei Fit, Band 2, and Band 2 Pro are priced at ₹9,999, ₹4,999, and ₹6,999 respectively. These smart bands will be available across the country via offline and major e-commerce websites from 8th November onwards.

However, the same set of smart bands were previously unveiled in China in July 2017 for the similar price point. The common traits for all these models are heart rate scanner, a sensor to scan the physical fitness, and the always-on OLED display, which doesn’t consume a chunk of juice from the battery. To get most things out of these bands, one has to pair these with either iOS or Android smartphone running on Android KitKat or above and iOS 8 or the latest version via Huawei Wear app.

To start with the Huawei Fit, probably the only watch look alike smartwatch in the lineup offers a 1.04-inch round display with 208×208 pixels resolution. The watch is capable of tracking fitness, measuring heart rate and sending notifications from the paired smartphone directly on to the wrist. The band of the watch is made using soft silicon with fancy neon colours, the best thing about the watch is, it uses old-school connector so, one can easily replace the straps with the normal bands.

The Huawei Fit can last up to 6 days of continues usage or up to 30 days of standby time, it charges via priority port and takes around 1.5 hours to completely charge.

The Huawei band 2 is more sophisticated fitness tracker with a trendy sporty look and an overall impressive design language. the device offers square shaped OLED panel with a single navigation button to go through the different menu options. It has all the standard fitness tracking capability like heart rate sensor, pedometer, and ability to show notification on the display from the paired smartphone.

Finally, the Huawei Band 2 Pro offers a new system called “Firstbeat”, which tracks the minute details like maximum rate of oxygen consumption which gives the input to the user to increase their stamina. The watch also offers active GPS sensor, which can detect the distance covered in your total workout.

All three models are water resistant up to 5 ATM, so, there is no worry regarding the using these watches when you are swimming or taking shower.

Here is the official product statement from P. Sanjeev, vice president — sales, Huawei and Honor Business:

“Wearable technology is gaining increasing importance in people’s lives, and Huawei is at the forefront of this movement. These intelligent devices are equipped with smart technology to help people use intelligent trackers to keep a close watch on their fitness statistics,”
