Along with the Huawei Mate 10 and Huawei Mate 10 Pro, the company also launches a new affordable variant of the same AKA the Huawei Mate 10 Lite, which offers slightly underrated specifications with Quad-camera solution. The Huawei Mate 10 Lite will be available in Prestige Gold, Graphite Black and Aurora Blue colour shades.

However, the same smartphone is already available in India with the different nomenclature (Huawei Honor 9i) which costs half the price tag of the Huawei Mate 10 Lite. In terms of build quality, the device offers top-notch all-metal unibody solution without any compromises. This device also takes the crown from Huawei, being their first quad-camera smartphone. Here is the complete set of tech specifications for the same. The device is priced at 399 Euros (INR 30,000) which is very absurd, considering the tech specifications being offered.

The Huawei Mate 10 Lite is incarnated with an 18:9 cinematic vision FHD+ IPS LCD touchscreen display (with 5.9-inch screen size), paired with 2.5D curved tempered glass on the top. Under the hood, the device is powered by Kirin 970 Octa-core processor, paired with 4 GB LPDDR3 RAM and 64 GB onboard flash storage with a dedicated micro SD card slot (up to 256 GB).

Coming to the camera department, the device houses dual rear camera setup on the back as well as on the front. On the back end, the device offers a 16 MP RGB sensor and a 2 MP depth sensing secondary sensor. The camera combination can capture 1080p videos up to 30 frames per second. On the front, the device offers 13 MP front-facing selfie camera with a 2 MP depth sensing monochrome sensor.

However, unlike the Huawei Mate 10 and Huawei Mate 10 Pro, the device doesn’t offer machine learning or chipset level artificial intelligence. So, it’s just a powerful smartphone which can handle day to day life tasks. Even in terms of operating system, the device is running on Android Nougat 7.0 with custom EMUI 5.1 on the top.

The device packs a 3340 mAh Li-ion battery, which does support fast charging capability. However, the brand has used a micro USB port instead of USB type C port. The device will be available in early November in Germany and other Europian countries.

According to our review, the Indian version of the Huawei Honor 9i does perform well and gives justice to the price tag at which the device is being priced. However, at 399 Euros or INR 30,000, this phone doesn’t offer the features which can give justice to the price tag.
