If you already own a JioPhone, are planning to buy one then it’s a good time. According to recent confirmation, the pre-booking for the JioPhone will resume from post-Deepawali via online and offline retail stores. However, there is no exact date mentioned about the same.

As there are already 6 million people who have pre-booked by paying INR 500 as a token amount, the company is yet to deliver the featurephone for those who pre-ordered the device in the first phase. So, according to a personnel in the retail channel, the company should fulfil all the existing orders and should be able to accept new orders as early by the end of the October.

Jio should also consider the fact that, their rivalĀ Airtel is also launching a smartphone for just INR 1,399 which packs better specifications compared to JioPhone. If you don’t know much about the JioPhone, then here are the complete list of specifications for the popular JioPhone.

The device offers a 2.4-inch non-touch enabled colour display, powered by an entry-level Qualcomm or Spectrum SoC paired with 512 MB LPDDR3 RAM and 4 GB onboard flash storage with a dedicated micro SD card slot (up to 128 GB). In terms of connectivity, the device offers a single nano-SIM card slot with 4G LTE and VoLte capability. However, though the device is capable of accepting other networks, the device is locked to use Jio network only.

The major attracting points about the JioPhone are the bundled plans. The users can go with INR 150 per month package, which offers 512 MB 4G data per day, free voice and video calls with 100 text messages per day as a complimentary service. One can also go with the higher 309 plan, which offers 1 GB 4G data per day with screen mirroring options for both CRT and LCD, LED, and smart TV.
