Samsung Galaxy S8

A few days since the initial launch, Samsung has launched its latest flagship device in India. In an event held at New Delhi, the brand made its offerings official for the Indian market. Samsung Galaxy S8 and Samsung Galaxy S8 Plus are now available for pre-order. Samsung had started a pre-registration page for the phone on April 5th, which gave information about the latest updates related to the smartphone. At the same time, Flipkart had also started teasing the new smartphone on the website.

As we now see the smartphone launched officially for the Indian market, a lot of confusions around the price and other factors has gone. Samsung Galaxy S8 is priced at ₹57,900 and at the same time, the bigger companion is priced at ₹64,900.

The pricing makes these phones one of the costliest phones around, however, given the high-end specs and premium build quality. Both the smartphones have pretty much the same technical specifications. Samsung Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+ have the same Exynos processor coupled with 4GB RAM. Both are launched with 64GB of internal storage, which can be expanded upto 256 GB with the help of a micro SD card. The screen sizes of Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+ are 5.8 inch and 6.2 inch respectively and they have super AMOLED technology bundled with the screen. The screen resolution comes out to be 1440 x 2960 pixels.

Both the devices include powerful cameras. With f/1.7 aperture, the rear and front camera shoot at 12MP and 8 MP respectively. Both the devices run on Android Nougat 7.0 out of the box. New Bixby Assistant makes the software experience more pleasing and smooth. Galaxy S8 has 3000 mAh battery and the bigger one has a battery of 3500 mAh.

Both the smartphones will be available from May 5th on Flipkart and Samsung Stores. The pre orders have already started and users placing a pre-order before 5th May will get a free wireless charger.
