The United States senate ministry has on Monday said, the proposal made by President Donald Trump to build a border wall between the US and Mexico would “never” pass a vote.

Senate ministry leader Chuck Schumer said if Trump wants to put an end to partial shutdown of the US government, then Trump has to drop his border wall demand for $5.7 bn.

Schumer said: “President Trump, if you want to open the government, you must abandon the wall, plain and simple.”

Schumer said the US democrats did supported Trump’s proposal for about $1.3 bn for a border wall security “as long as they don’t include finding for the wall”. He further said democrats were also open to further talks with Trump.

According to news reports, Schumer said, “The Trump shutdown is not about border security.”

He said: “It’s because President Trump is demanding billions of dollars for an expensive, ineffective wall that the majority of Americans don’t support.”

Schumer said: “It will never pass the Senate, not today, not next week, not next year.”

Schumer claimed that Trump first agreed to the previous proposals, only in order to change his mind after receiving heavy criticism from allies on “far right”.

According to reports, as talks between the US congress leaders and the White House continued, both the senate and House of Representatives returned back to their business for a weekend session.

In a tweet on Saturday, Trump wrote: “I am in the White House, working hard. News reports concerning the Shutdown and Syria are mostly FAKE. We are negotiating with the Democrats on desperately needed Border Security (Gangs, Drugs, Human Trafficking & more) but it could be a long stay.”

Over times, Trump did gave different opinions over the construction of wall and government shutdown, and also said he would force Mexico to fund the border wall.

However, Trump said he would accept fund for a “steel slat barriers” having spikes on the tops, which would be much effective as a wall and also “at the same time beautiful”.

Schumer blamed Trump’s “remarkable two-week temper tantrum” for the partial shutdown. Schumer said, “This may have been the most chaotic week of what’s undoubtedly the most chaotic presidency ever in the history of the United States.”

In a tweet, Schumer wrote: “At midnight last night, roughly twenty five percent of the government shut down because of one person and one person alone: President @realDonaldTrump. We arrived at this moment because President Trump has been on a remarkable two-week temper tantrum.

In an official joint statement with House minority leader Nancy Pelosi, Schumer said: “Instead of honouring his responsibility to the American people, President Trump threw a temper tantrum and convinced House Republicans to push our nation into a destructive Trump shutdown in the middle of the holiday season.”
