US-Iran possible meeting at UNGA 2019French President Emmanuel Macron

French President Emmanuel Macron has on Monday, vowed to stay focused with his new reform agenda in 2019, despite of demonstration by “yellow vest” protesters that have challenged Macron and his government.

According to news reports, in a televised New Year message, Macron said the promised services of France’s unemployment benefits, public pensions and civil services would be taken under in the 2019.

While New Year’s address, delivering speech, Macron said, “In recent years, we’ve engaged in a blatant denial of reality.” He added, “We can’t work less, earn more, cut taxes and increase spending.”

The current demonstrations by the protesters, which has disrupted and destructed the whole city Paris including other major cities with their actions and marches, has yet to subsidize despite of fiscal giveaways, and increment in poor workers’ wages.

Protesters were expected to address the New Year crowds at Paris’s Champs-Elysees Avenue overnight, amid presence of heave security forces.

Macron said his efforts to strengthen international controls over immigration and also tax evasion would remain at heart of European Union proposals, which he planned to announce in “coming weeks”.

Macron said, “This is the line I have followed since the first day of my mandate, and which I plan to keep following.”

“This coming year, 2019, is in my view a decisive one,” French president said.
