Coronavirus got its new opponent. The world’s fastest computer brought into action from volunteers. Volunteers loaning spare time on there home PCs to fold proteins, A scientific piece of work that could demonstrate instrumental in the fight against coronavirus.

According to Folding@Home, the organization that manages the distributed computing effort, the combined power of the network broke 1,000,000,000,000,000,000,000 operations per second – or “exaflop” – on March 25.

This feature made it six times more powerful than the world’s fastest traditional supercomputer.
