The all-new 2021 Mercedes Benz S-Class has been the most awaited car of the year. And hence, it is all set to make its debut worldwide soon. However, the 2021 Mercedes Benz S-Class not only gets some major changes but it even takes a giant leap when it comes to comfort, safety, technology as well as luxury.

The all-new S-Class now gets an LED headlight with the ‘Digital Light’ system that enhances the visibility by around 2x. Meanwhile, the chrome grille with three horizontal bars, new front as well as rear bumpers with larger air intakes, rear wraparound LED taillamps, etc. will come as a standard with the facelifted Mercedes Benz S-Class. Mercedes Benz will also offer 4 different size alloy wheels as optional. It will be sized from 18 to 21-inches according to personal preference.

The 2021 Mercedes Benz S-Class with a long wheelbase is now longer by 34mm, wider by 22mm while the height gets an increment of 12mm. Likewise, the wheelbase is now 51mm longer which enhances the legroom for the rear occupants by 24mm. Even the boot space of the facelifted Mercedes Benz S-Class is now increased by 20 litres. This way the boots space in all is 550 litres.

For enhanced comfort 2021 Mercedes Benz S-Class will now come with the fingerprint, face and voice recognition feature. This feature authenticates the driver and settings according to the need. Meanwhile, it also gets the gesture control for the sunroof and touchscreen infotainment system. The ambient system in the 2021 Mercedes Benz S-Class comes with 263 LEDs. Likewise, the luxurious car gets the heads up display, interior assist function and a 31-speakers Burmester 4D surround sound unit.

The facelifted Mercedes Benz S-Class draws its power from a 3.0-litre, six-cylinder petrol and diesel engine. The petrol engine comes with two options – the S450 and S500. The S450 variant produces 367bhp of power and 500Nm of torque while the S500 variant produces 435bhp of power and 520Nm of peak torque. Even the mild-hybrid system called ‘EQ Boost’ provides 22bhp and 250Nm of extra torque.

Similarly, the 3.0-litre diesel engine also comes with two variants – the S350d and S400d. The S350d produces 286bhp of power and 600Nm of torque. Meanwhile, the S400d variant produces a maximum of 330bhp and 700Nm of output. All the variants of the Mercedes Benz S-Class trim comes with a 4MATIC all-wheel-drive system except the S350d variant. Apart from this, all the variants get a 9-speed automatic gearbox as standard.

The exciting feature about the 2021 Mercedes Benz S-Class is that it gets a rear-axle steering system. This system can turn the rear axle by up to 10 degrees in the opposite direction for parking. Meanwhile, the rear axle can turn itself by around 4.5 degrees in the same direction as the front wheel over 60kmph for better stability.

Mercedez Benz is also working on the AMG and Maybach model of the S-Class. These trims may arrive globally soon after the launch of the Mercedes Benz S-Class.

The German carmaker is manufacturing the 2021 Mercedes Benz S-Class in Factory 56 in Sindelfingen. Meanwhile, the facelifted S-Class will arrive in India by the second half of 2021 as the long-wheelbase version.
