Indian Motorcycle is expanding its portfolio with the updated bikes in India. As a result, the brand has finally launched the 2022 Indian Chief range that includes heavy cruisers and bobbers bikes such as Dark Horse, Super Chief Limited and Bobber Dark Horse. According to the updated price list, these motorcycles comes with a starting price tag of Rs.20.76 Lakhs and goes all the way till Rs.22.84 Lakhs (all prices, ex-showroom, Delhi) for the Super Chief Limited.

2022 Indian Chief Range

Dark Horse

Starting with the Dark Horse, it can be differentiated from the other two just from design language. Interestingly, new colour shades including Alumina Jade Smoke, Stealth Grey and Black Smoke have also been introduced to enhance the overall appearance.

As per the spec sheet, the Indian Chief Dark Horse runs on a 19-inch front wheel and a 16-inch rear wheel as standard.

Bobber Dark Horse

Talking about the Bobber Dark Horse, it comes with three new colour schemes including Titanium Smoke, Black Smoke and Sagebrush Smoke. Using 16-inch spoke wheels on either end it weighs somewhere around 315kgs.

Super Chief Limited

Just like the other two, this one also gets multiple new shades in the form of Blue State Metallic, Maroon Metallic and Black Metallic. For seamless touring, it comes with additional saddlebags and other equipment that results in an overall weight of 335kgs.

Engine

At the heart, all three of them features a potent 1890cc Thunderstroke 116 twin-cylinder engine. The overall output from this motor is rated at 162Nm while being mated to a 6-speed manual gearbox as standard.

Want to alter the performance? All of them gets three riding modes including – Standard, Sport and Tour. For added fuel efficiency, they also get cylinder deactivation technology.

Features & Hardware

Just like any other modern motorcycle, the Indian Chief lineup range comes with full LED lighting, dual-channel ABS, 4-inch touchscreen display and keyless start-stop. They even get a 15.1-litre fuel tank to enhance the overall range.

According to the brand, the Dark Horse, Dark Horse Bobber and Super Chief Limited comes with telescopic forks (front), preload adjustable shock absorbers (rear) and side-mounted dual exhaust for added practicality.
