Electric vehicles are the future but for now, carmakers want you to enjoy more of these ICEs before they get discontinued. Nobody could have ever thought that Audi will stick to a petrol-only lineup in India and since they did, people who are looking for SUVs that are fuel-efficient have very few options left. Interestingly, BMW is one of those options and to be precise, the German marque has today introduced the all-new X3 Diesel at Rs.65.50 Lakhs (ex-showroom, Delhi) for the Indian market.
Planning to buy a luxury SUV for your family? Let’s take a look at the all-new BMW X3 facelift down below.
HIGHLIGHTS:
- Diesel version of the updated X3 facelift is now available in India.
- Will come powered by the old 2.0-litre four-cylinder diesel engine.
- It is currently priced at Rs.65.50 Lakhs for a limited period of time.
BMW X3 Facelift (Diesel)
Exterior & Design
X3 always felt well-balanced in terms of design. The updates are only here to keep it fresh. Starting with the front profile, the SUV now features a new pair of LED headlamps with revised DRLs and a restyled bumper. Coming to the side, it is now flanked by alloy wheels ranging between 19 to 20-inches.
The rear profile has also received a minor makeover in the form of revised taillamps, sports bumper and dual exhaust tips.

Interior
Inside the cabin, X3 is now available with two massive screens where the first one is allotted to a 12.3-inch fully digital driver’s display. Interestingly, there’s another screen at the centre reserved for a massive 12.35-inch touchscreen infotainment system. Just like a typical BMW car, the dashboard of the updated X3 uses a simple approach and therefore, is equipped with large AC vents, a multifunction steering wheel and three-zone climate control. Other features such as a Harman Kardon audio system, 360-degree camera, panoramic sunroof and ambient lighting are also a part of the feature’s list.

Engine
The older yet capable 2.0-litre four-cylinder diesel mill is still there to power the updated X3. As claimed by the brand, it produces a massive 188BHP and 400Nm of peak torque just to push this heavy SUV to do a 0-100kmph sprint in just 7.9 seconds.
The interesting about the updated X3 is that it also gets an 8-speed automatic gearbox where power is channelled to all four wheels. BMW also boasts a top speed of 213kmph for this SUV.
Alternatives
Rivals are responsible to keep the competition heated up. Last year, Mercedes-Benz launched one of its best-sellers, the all-new GLC in India and this way, it is also a direct competitor to the recently launched BMW X3 facelift. Want to learn more about it? Let’s check out some crucial information related to it down below.
Mercedes-Benz GLC

Raw, rugged and practical. Well, that’s how many of us remember GLC. Isn’t it? The German brand has updated the SUV last year and thankfully, it still feels modern enough to compete against the all-new X3.
Powering it is a 2.0-litre four-cylinder diesel engine with overall output rated at 194BHP and 400Nm of peak torque. Interestingly, just like the new X3, it is even available with a 2.0-litre four-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine. Talking about the features, the updated GLC is equipped with dual-zone climate control, 12.3-inch fully digital driver’s display, an electric sunroof and voice command to name a few.
