Almost every industry stumbled because of the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. Shops were closed, factory work was temporarily suspended, many people lost their jobs, ultimately leading the economy to hit the lowest. All of these things together might sound disastrous but in the end, it is the lives of our countrymen and loved ones that matter the most. Undoubtedly, these tough times has revealed some really tough people and real-life heroes. But now, even the corporate firms and big MNCs are coming forward to show humanity does not always require an individual identity.

As we always say, “A friend in need is a friend indeed” and without a doubt, it is true as Skoda Auto has come forward to lend a helping hand to India.

HIGHLIGHTS:

  • Skoda Auto will send help worth 1,000,000 Euros to fight COVID-19 in India. 
  • The first part of the help has already been shipped and will be reaching soon.
  • The Czech carmaker will launch the all-new Skoda Kushaq by June 2021.

According to the company, the first part of the aid will be reaching India anytime soon. Further, medical equipment including an oxygen generator and liquid oxygen tanks will be a part of covid relief supplies. As soon as the help reaches its final destination, Indian Red Cross will be distributing them to clinics and similar organisations.

Recently, India faced a severe wave of COVID-19 pandemic that resulted in a shortage of hospital beds, medicines and medical oxygen. Being an employer in India, Skoda Auto is ready to bear a social responsibility and will be providing any possible relief in form of supplies and even in monetary terms.

Skoda India’s Future Plan

Currently, Skoda is focusing on the brand’s 2.0 strategy and to be precise, the Czech carmaker from now onwards will only be introducing aggressively priced cars in the Indian market. According to the plan, popular segments such as compact SUVs and hatchbacks alongside local assembling will play a major role in determining the brand’s future.
