Just look at it! First of all, it is a full-size SUV and on top of that, it looks as premium as any other Lexus car. Well, all credit goes to the Japanese brand for introducing the all-new Lexus LX 600 in the global market. The new flagship SUV will surely arrive in India but if we talk about the timeline, Lexus has not announced anything related to it yet. Want something as good as Toyota Land Cruiser? Then, Lexus LX 600 sounds like a perfect SUV for you.

Exterior and Design

On the outside, the 2022 Lexus LX 600 will attract a lot of attention on the road. Starting with the front end, the muscular bonnet hood and signature grille look like a masterpiece with sleek headlamps onboard. The new SUV will also be featuring fog lamps below which there’s a skid plate running from one end to the other.

Lexus has announced to offer large 18-inch alloy wheels as standard. However, customers who wish to upgrade them can use larger alloy wheels that range till 22-inches.

Interior

It will be available in five trims including – Standard, Premium, F-Sport, Luxury and Ultra Luxury. The last one is said to get a four-seater layout where the second, also the last row comes equipped with well-contoured seats that are aimed to offer world-class comfort. Several standard and optional features including cushions, rear sunshades, entertainment pack and centre console (second row) are also there to enhance the overall comfort.

Engine & Powertrain

Under the hood, the all-new LX 600 uses a 3.5-litre twin-turbocharged V6 engine. The overall output from this unit is rated at 415PS and 650Nm while being paired to a 10-speed automatic transmission as standard.

An adaptive suspension setup that helps in improving the ride height is still there. However, to make it capable on tough terrains, Lexus has introduced several features including a Multi-Terrain Select system and crawl control.

Alternatives

There’s the Maybach GLS that comes powered by a 4.0-litre eight-cylinder petrol engine but to compare the all-new Lexus LX let’s take the regular GLS 450 4MATIC. Right now, the brand has decided to use a 3.0-litre six-cylinder petrol engine that churns out a decent 362BHP and 500Nm of peak torque on it. In terms of features, the all-new Mercedes-Benz GLS is loaded with several crucial and luxury equipment such as 9 airbags, a large 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system, 64 colours ambient lighting and the brand’s AIRMATIC suspension to name a few.
