Exterior & Design

Looks basic yet effective with some minor updates. On the front, there is a new set of LED headlights, radiator grille, 17-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels and muscular bonnet hood. Likewise, the side and rear profile attracts a lot of attention on the road with large 17-inch alloy wheels, LED taillights and sporty rear bumper.

Dimension-wise, MG Astor stands 4323mm in length, 1809mm in width and 1650m in terms of height.

Interior

Some serious efforts can be seen inside the cabin. Let’s start with the dashboard, the layout is quite similar to the electric counterpart and is available in three different shades including – Sangria Red (dual tone), Iconic Ivory (dual tone) and Tuxedo Black (monotone). A larger 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment system sits proudly at the centre. Meanwhile, other features including a panoramic sunroof, 7-inch fully digital instrument cluster, electrically adjustable driver’s seat, etc further makes it practical in every sense.

Engine

Power comes from a 1.3-litre three-cylinder, turbocharged petrol engine that churns out a decent 140HP and 200Nm while being paired to a sole 6-speed torque converter automatic gearbox.

There’s even a 1.5-litre four-cylinder naturally aspirated engine. The overall output from this unit is rated at 110HP and 144Nm with either a five-speed manual or an 8-speed CVT gearbox.
